I just left a review of Santiago's for their green Chile cheeseburger...and next comes Rex's. If you haven't had Rex's then you NEED to make a trip here. The milkshake machine is hit or miss, but if you're not a burger / milkshake person - you're not missing out. The fries are perfectly crispy and go well with the green Chile cheeseburger. You can taste the history of the burger in each bite. Whatever grill they use is holding all of that flavor haha Be sure to check out Rex's! Twister's is in the same parking...I'm positive you'll make the right decision and chose Rex's lol Rex's and Santiago's are some of my favorite green Chile cheeseburgers in ABQ. I've tried Laguna, Owl, Burger 21, Stackers (way too expensive), Phat Stax, Kosmos, The grill on San Mateo, and Burger Bro's.

My husband and I decided it was date night so why not head to an Ole School hamburger joint. When you walk in it's like you time traveled back to the 80's. The people are super nice and greet you with a smile. The hamburgers are just like I had when growing up in the &0's and you head to a local spot and share fries and a drink with friends. The food is amazing and you will not be disappointed if you come here. If you're looking for a great burger then this is the place.

The food was fantastic. Hot, fresh, authentic New Mexican green chile on the burgers. The onion rings were outstanding. The french fries were hot and fresh with a slight breading to them. Maybe it was the time that we came - about 4:00 p.m. on a Friday but the service was lightning fast. Faster than McDonald's. The owner was very friendly and asked us about our meal. I would definitely recommend going to this friendly establishment especially if you like a great burger.

An amazing old school and I do mean old school hamburger joint. In a strip mall with a small understated sign so hard to spot but lots of parking. Order at the counter and then they bring it out to you. Lots of classic posters and movie posters on the wall. Retro before retro was cool. We both had burgers and fries. They smashed them out and cooked them. I mean they still use meat in balls to make their patties. Awesome. Great place and great burger. Fun stop to take my son and let him experience how we use to get a burger on the road.

Delicious burgers ready in less than 5 minutes. Fresh, delicious NM green chile. Love the crispy fries and the onion rings too. The platter comes with a vanilla pudding or applesauce, and i chose the pudding. It's just regular pudding, but its a nice touch. There are a lot of ways to make a good burger and this is one of them

It's been a while since I've been here. Probably at least a couple years. It's still just as solid as I remember. Burgers are big and juicy and loaded with toppings. The staff was all very friendly, they checked on us while we ate and took our plates when we were done with them. They all said thank you when we left. The fries were crispy and salted perfectly and the food came out FAST. My son ended up ordering a second burger because he loved it so much. They made a new fan with him for sure.

Rex's is an Albuquerque classic staple! It's got that old diner feel with fun local memorabilia covering the walls. The burgers are tasty (green chile is hot here!), and the fries are always crispy. I like the random side option of either pudding or apple sauce, and for all those items, Rex's keeps prices reasonable. We've had great, efficient service every time we've gone!
